Aeon Documentation Audit

Aeon's docs are unusually strong on machine-readable surfaces — a live OpenAPI 3.1 spec, an MCP server card, llms.txt, agents.md, and an API whose headers actually match its documented contract — but the prose keeps losing count of the product: within a single section the docs claim seven gateways while listing eight, the community-pack registry has grown four packs past the page that describes it, and the shipped README still tells two different skill counts in the same file. One documented authoring path (skill templates) uses a category vocabulary the rest of the taxonomy docs don't recognize.

1. The Auth section contradicts itself on how many providers exist — in adjacent sentences (significant)

Problem: The section intro says "aeon authenticates to Anthropic two ways, direct, plus seven optional gateways" — and the very next heading says "Ten providers", followed by a table with ten rows (two direct + eight gateways, the newly added HivemindOS being the eighth). The gateways subsection then says "LLM gateways - eight alternative routes / Eight more gateways route Claude Code through cheaper, crypto-billed, or credit-billed inference." So the same section asserts 9 providers (2+7) in prose and 10 in its own table, on a page stamped "Last updated 28 SEP" — the day before this audit — beneath a banner that already warns "This page may not always be current."

Consequence: Humans shrug; agents don't. An AI assistant asked "which gateways does aeon support?" will extract "seven optional gateways" from the intro sentence and silently drop HivemindOS — or produce a confidence-destroying answer that cites both numbers. Anyone maintaining a fork's secrets checklist from the prose misses HIVEMINDOS_CREDIT_TOKEN.

The fix: When HivemindOS was added to the table and the cascade, the intro sentence wasn't updated. Change it to "plus eight optional gateways" — or better, remove hardcoded counts from prose and derive them from the same data that renders the table, as the site already does for the 85-skill count.

2. "Twelve packs are listed so far" — the linked registry contains sixteen (significant)

Problem: The docs say "Twelve packs are listed so far, including AntFleet aeon-skills, Polymarket Trader by Simmer, ClawHunter, Charon for AEON, Mneme, SIGNA, Atrium Skills, LiquidPad, MythosForge, AgentLink, AI2Human Create Task, and Skim Clean Reads." The registry that same paragraph points at (, fetched live) contains packs — CultOS Aeon Skills, Farcaster Pack, Spoolis Outcome Gate, and Claim Audit are absent from the docs list.
